Work Vacation - Days 3 & 4, August 6th and 7th

A portion of this part of the trip was to honor Uncle Ralph, and help the family clean up the family house in the Hills of Rabun Gap, Georgia. This little house is a quick drive to the Chattooga River, the South Carolina hills, and Cherokee, North Carolina.

The clean up of the house is hard to put into words. You had to be here to experience it. Ralph was a fun guy. He was also a major hoarder. Days 3 and 4 consisted of a lot of cleaning and throwing thing into the dumpster....and trying to stay calm. We are a close family, but everyone was tired and a little on edge.

Our friends, the Clarks, came to town, so we did work in some time on the river, panning for gems, a waterfall hike and an evening campfire. The waterfall was called Dry Falls, and its a beauty. During our walk, we stumbled upon a couple getting married and a snake.

We ended the day on Tuesday with a visit to the clinic. Vangeli has strep! Perfect. Pray for us.

The Travelin Trendels leave for Mammoth Caves in the morning and I finally took a shower.
