Maro and I had to say goodbye to "the van." Maybe it wasn't really a goodbye, more of a "see ya later." We cleaned her and packed her to the brim. I also bought a Thule rack to help load the real important stuff, snowboards to be specific. Its kinda funny being a parent, stuffing your car until no more room is left and realizing 90% of the things in the car is all of your kids crap....Toys and board games and a giant stuffed Kraken. Since we are going to the land of the Seattle Seahawks, I also was sure to put a new Jags sticker on the back window as well.
Our cousin, Matt, and his girlfriend Kate came out from Portland and are driving "the van" up to Olympia for us. They are taking the southern route and doing their own road trip, which will include New Orleans, Austin, Houston and Zion National Park.
